Description
Spring Rolls/Lumpia: the super light, crispy and tender appetizer
cousin of the traditional egg roll with chicken or turkey or pork or beef
with vegetables filling. Please, choose the option when ordering.
Thai Curry: made from curry paste, coconut milk or water, meat,
seafood, vegetables or fruit, and herbs.
Barbecue skewer: a common marinated slice of porks thread on a
skewer and then grilled to perfection.
Pork Chop Barbecue: these are pork chops brined in garlic and
spices, then grilled to perfection and basted with barbecue sauce.
Pancit: A staple Filipino dish found at numerous feasts and
celebrations, consisting of stir-fried noodles with meat and vegetables
such as chicken, pork, shrimp, celery, carrots, onions, garlic, and
cabbage.
Bistek: a dish made of strips of salted and peppered sirloin beef,
usually flattened with a meat tenderizing tool, slowly cooked in soy
sauce, calamansi juice, garlic and onions.
Beef Candereta: beef cubes simmered to perfect tenderness in a
spicy tomato sauce, chockfull of potatoes and bell peppers.
Chicken or Pork Adobo: a dish of marinated meat or fish seasoned in
the Philippines
Chicken or Pork Afritada: a Spanish based Filipino dish consisting of
chicken, beef, or pork braised in tomato sauce with carrots, potatoes,
and red and green bell peppers. It is served on white rice and is a
common everyday Filipino meal.
Chicken Empanadas: a baked pastry stuffed with chicken or pork or
turkey or beef, cheese, vegetables, and other ingredients.
Empanadas can be found around the world, especially in Latin
America, Spain, and Portugal. They are made by folding a sheet of
dough over the ingredients and sealing before cooking.
Filipino Bread: They are fat rolls of bread dusted with breadcrumbs all
over. The texture from the breadcrumbs makes them a delight to eat.
The chunky filling that is sweet and buttery is a nice contrast to the
soft bread surrounding it.
Ensaymada Bread: type of Filipino soft, sweet dough pastry covered
with butter and sugar then topped with lots of grated cheese. It was
adapted from the Spanish Ensaïmada but has evolved throughout the
years to become what it is now that is loved by many Filipinos.
